Ears and Trains

A couple more random recent projects.  First, a layout of my eldest dear daughter.  The picture is from 2011, and captures her right after getting her ears pierced.  Judging from the slight pale tint to her complexion and the hesitant smile she's sporting, we're lucky she didn't pull a mommy and pass out!

And a second project.  This is a card I put together with my extensive collection of washi tapes. Boy those things are addictive!  I was searching pinterest for ideas of how to use the tapes on cards and found my inspiration for this one.  I really like how it turned out! And it will be great to send to my father in law this fall for his birthday as he's a train collector!  I may have to use this same sketch for some Christmas cards too! Quick and easy and uses cheap supplies I have plenty of on hand! Perfect!

Basic Grey Sugar Rush

From somewhere along the line, most likely from an eBay purchase, I had a BasicGrey Sugar Rush layout kit.  I put together the last page last month and still had some leftover scraps and embellishments.  My favorite thing to do at that point is just grab some card bases and put together some random cards to finish off the coordinating pieces while I have them all together.  Sure beats trying to figure out how to store the odds and ends - and I wouldn't dare throw them out! This kit had quite a few extras, so I was able to put together quite a few cards. Here are a few:

Bazzill Card Kit

Time once again to post a few of my recent projects! Here are several pictures of some cards I put together with a Bazzill Card kit.  These cards were a little simple for my taste, but they went together quickly and easily, made 16 cards, and had lots of leftovers for extra cards.  Not too bad! In case anyone's familiar with this kit, and thinking theirs didn't turn out quite the same, I did add extras or make slight alterations to a couple of the cards ;)
